What does a woman need to make it through the worst of deceptions and disappointments?

First off, forget everything. Burn every bridge and memory.

Avoid other people. Loneliness is the best to enjoy pain and revel in the decadent thoughts that will fill your mind.

Find a lover you can submit and suffer with. A destructive relationship might be the cure to what’s eating you up.

Enough alcohol to fulfill the first goal, as well as to lose yourself in excess and wind up far from where you started.

Cigarettes to remind you death is near.

Silencing your demons: The only way to make it through the passing days.

When our heart has been broken and we spend our days in despair, we find a temporary cure in the warmth of a stranger’s skin. Sometimes being a slut is the only way to heal.

Death chases us when our hearts are left cold and our souls torn. We momentarily rely on self-destruction and the disappointment of not finding someone who will hold us through the night and love us unconditionally.

All we need is a couple bottles, a gun, and a man to lose ourselves in a surreal life of deception and despair. We hope these violent desires can fill the void that’s been left inside us.

We no longer care about being submissive, dominated, or sodomized. For an instant we feel complete, because we live to fulfill our basic needs. We feel alive and ready to kill, even if it’s just for one night.

Illustrator Marine La Reine Alien from Nice, France is an expert of portraying our cruel, ruthless side of careless women who are willing to do anything for a deadly caress or a scarring moment of passion.

Her black and white illustrations capture how when we’re at our most broken, we become the femmes fatales everyone admires. La Reine Alien also does tattoos of her designs: simple, sexy, and sensual.

The artist takes us to a world of decadence where we fall prey to the deception, moments when we believe we will never care about or love anyone again.

This illustrator presents the practicality of undressing ourselves in front of another, of putting aside our feelings to find hidden places that are best enjoyed without guilt.

Have a drink with the one by your side. Then have another, and both of you will soon forget about the outside world. The pain will still be there, but that moment of intimacy will make it go away, at least for a little while.
