Recently Mark Zuckerberg, one of the founders of Facebook and CEO of Meta, posted on his Instagram account to find himself ready for a Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) showdown against Elon Musk, the current owner of Twitter and chief engineer of SpaceX.
The root of this was a Twitter thread referencing a new Meta-derived social network called Threads, which according to EFE is intended to become Twitter’s direct competition. It all started with a tweet that Musk, 51 wrote: “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s control with no other oppositions. At least he will be ‘sensible.’ I was worried for a moment.”
And the banter continued when a Twitter user with less than 100 followers warned to be careful of the Canadian tycoon since Zuckerberg apparently knew jiu-jitsu. To which Musk responded: “I’m ready for a cage match if he is.”
A comment that went viral until it managed to reach the eyes of 39-year-old Mark Zuckerberg, who immediately responded with a screenshot in which he replied: “Send me the location.” Musk responded by writing the name of a specific place to carry out the fight: “Vegas Octagon.”
The Techniques of the Contenders
The climax of the previous virtual messaging duel was provided by Musk, who talked about a special tactic called “The Walrus.” He described it as follows: “I simply lie on top of my opponent and do nothing.”
However, shortly before all of the above, the Facebook founder posted a video on his Instagram account in which he is seen training alongside Mikey Musumeci, a jiu-jitsu black belt, accompanied by the message: “I start preparing for our MMA debut.”
UFC Wants to Host Facebook vs. Twitter Showdown
In an interview for TMZ Sports, Dana White, president of the UFC, said that negotiations for such a fight to take place have begun. According to his words, the first one he addressed was Zuckerberg, whose reaction was to ask him: “Are You Really Serious?”
And after an approach to Musk, who confirmed his intentions, White is already talking about how this could be the greatest showdown in history: “This would be the biggest fight in the history of the world, bigger than anything that’s ever been done.”

A challenge that was intended to put an end to the war between the two nations:
“I hereby challenge Vladimir Putin to a duel. What is at stake is Ukraine.” He added: “Do you accept the confrontation?”
