Human beings have always proved an unwavering love towards order. We can see that in our need to name everything in the world, as if the lack of name means something doesn’t exist. For example, the Mayans believed it was essential to give identity to nothingness, resulting in the invention of the zero.
So, everything we create turns into an undeniable example of symmetry and balance. Human beings have insisted on enfolding the world under a gigantic and structured layer that turned geometry into a synonym for undeniable beauty.

However, within this well oiled and controlled society we live in there exists a tiny trace of chaos called youth. In this stage of life, many feel completely free to break the rules, even when they know this rebelliousness might accompany them for the rest of their lives. That’s why getting a tattoo is sometimes a way in which people defy the world.

Experts in this art know the importance people give to these ink marks. They’re aware that their clients want to portray their inner emotions and ideas through symbols of beauty and show their singularity. Although our names can distinguish us from the rest, a tattoo is capable of giving us what we need to become truly unique.

Can the chaos that a tattoo socially implies be part of the order we are subdued by? Malvina Maria Wisniewska thinks it does, or at least that’s what we can interpret from her designs, filled with perfectly traced lines and geometric shapes on the skins of her models. Through ink, all of them seek to express that uniqueness can be found within uniformity.

It doesn’t matter if the lines are thick, like in the blackout style, or shaped like thin prisms, the canvases of Wisniewska always look like original designs that any ink lover would want on their skin. In each stroke, we can perceive a touch of perfection and the order humanity has always sought since the beginning of time.

Whether it’s a small mandala or an animal made out of symmetrical shapes and intersections, Wisniewska’s tattoos prove that perfection does exist and that it can be found anywhere. We should stop trying to find it in random things and be happy and comfortable with the beauty we bring to the planet.

That connection people create with each of their tattoos is special. The bond between the soul and the body that’s made through these inked marks is one of the most gratifying experiences. That’s why the decision to succumb to the needles must not be taken lightly; this choice must be carefully studied so you don’t regret getting a permanent mark on your body.
