Axl Rose of Guns N’Roses Sued for Assault Committed in 1989

Once again, Axl Rose of Guns N’Roses will have to face a lawsuit for sexual assault, this time, committed more than 30 years ago against a model. According to Rolling Stones magazine, the lawsuit was filed this Wednesday by Sheila Kennedy, a former Penthouse model, who claimed to have met the musician in New York in 1989 inside a nightclub. That same night, Rose reportedly invited Kennedy to her hotel room to attend a party with model Riki Rachtman.

Once inside the bedroom, Rose offered and consumed cocaine, champagne, and other alcoholic beverages. At one point during the meeting, Kennedy went to her bathroom and when she came out Rose, who was waiting for her, pushed her against the wall and kissed her. This action was not an alarm signal for the model, since she was willing to have consensual relations with Axl, but a few hours later, after seeing the artist having sex aggressively with Rachtman, she decided to leave the room.

According to the lawsuit, Rose left her room to stop Kennedy from leaving her, allegedly pushing her to the floor, grabbing her by her hair, and dragging her back to the suite. Inside the room, Axl would have thrown the model face down on the bed tied her hands with pantyhose, and then sexually assaulted her. So far the Guns N’Roses leader has not provided comments on the matter, so in the coming days, the singer’s legal team is expected to respond to the accusations.

This is not the first time Axl Rose has been accused of sexual assault

This is not the first time that Axl Rose has been accused of assaults against women, as previously, the singer has been accused of domestic and sexual abuse. The new lawsuit against Rose refers to allegations of abuse against some of his former partners, such as Erin Everly and Stephanie Seymour. Everly sued Rose for abuse in 1994 in civil court in Los Angeles, but the case ended up being settled out of court shortly thereafter.
