Former soccer player Gerard Pique is once again at the point of criticism from fans of Colombian singer Shakira, the mother of his children, after he mocked a song that ridiculed the singer as a sex worker.
It all started when the former Barcelona player was the special guest of the French streamer, AmineMaTueTV, who played him La Roja, a satirical song about the Spanish national football team. The Catalan, without knowing anything about it, put on his headphones and when he heard the reference to the Colombian he took them off and began to laugh, a fact that earned him countless critics among the singer’s fans.
The song in question produced by the Frenchman and his team refers to several players, such as the former Real Madrid player, Iniesta, also from Barcelona and Piqué himself. Although the song did not opt for direct phrases, but for euphemisms. The song says:
One, two, three, let’s go to the beach (La plage)
Four, five, six, I like Shakira
La Jonquera, my house is your home
From Paris to Ibiza, long live the bullfight, olé, olé
Some followers of the Stream and followers understood the reference, since La Jonquera is a brothel located in Girona (border city between Spain and France), the term is also used in the soccer field to mock the opponent inside the soccer fields.
Piqué’s attitude has generated outrage among Shakira’s fans on social media, who have referred to the former player with insults such as “a Catalan rat”.

Others joined in with more criticism. “That man is trash, he’s the one who needs therapy, he’s the one who doesn’t turn the page,” “He wants this; Let them talk about it. He likes the camera, he’s a frustrated vedette” and “Poor guy, what that son of a is trying to. it’s to stay alive at Shakira’s expense to be able to pay all those corrupt judges, prosecutors, politicians and the Spanish press so they don’t go to jail for their dirty businesses.”
