Bryan Cranston, New Mexico’s New Campaign Face
The campaign, titled Breaking Bad Habits, is a clever play on words from the show’s title, urging people to break bad habits when it comes to waste disposal.
Heisenberg’s face will be all over the place: billboards, advertising on city buses, social media ads, and Heisenberg-themed shirts.
According to Fox 5, Albuquerque’s recent city-led clean-up efforts saw as many as one thousand employees pick up around 38 tons of trash in just one week.

In the ad, Walter White is seen carrying a steel drum into the desert, reminiscent of the show, only this time he’s collecting trash by hand. He then breaks the fourth wall and delivers a stern message to viewers: “Keep the garbage out of my territory.”

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham commented on how the campaign’s use of Walter White will grab attention and raise awareness about the growing waste problem in a state that relies heavily on tourism and film production.

Along with the video ads, the campaign will feature billboards and involve community cleanup efforts, engaging schools, youth, state agencies, and even inmates to help tackle the issue.
