Squid Game has become a worldwide phenomenon. We have seen dozens of mobile games inspired by the series, but now it can not only be experienced digitally; this YouTuber spent a millionaire figure to bring the game to real life.
About a month ago, YouTuber Jimmy Donaldson, better known as “MrBeast,” announced that he was going to host some real-life Squid Games with all the scenarios of the popular Netflix series so that people can live the experience. The day has finally come!
With an investment of over 3.5 million dollars, the influencer built the six scenarios of the most important and most-watched Asian series of all time: ‘Red Light, Green Light,’ ‘Honeycombs,’ ‘Tug of War,’ ‘Marbles,’ ‘Hopscotch,’ and the ‘Squid Game’ itself.

“Recreating Squid Games is costing more than I thought it would, but I’m in too deep to stop now lol,” stated “Mr.Beast” on his Twitter account.
456 people were selected through his TikTok account. They participated in the six different tests just like in the series without the obvious part that no one is dying. For ‘Red Light, Green Light, MrBeast equipped the contestants with a special device that monitors movement. Whenever a participant moved during Red Light, the device popped, and they were just disqualified.
232 survived the first task and were eager to pass to the next games including the iconic Honeycombs game and Tug of War, where some contestants replicated the techniques used by the series’ characters. Those eliminated received a consolation prize of 2,000 dollars!

You can already watch the full games on MrBeast’s YouTube channel and see who is the lucky winner of the real-life Squid Game and the one who took home 456,000 dollars!
