For now, we know very few details about this film; however, who shared his desire about this story was Tim Allen, the original voice of Buzz Lightyear.
The actor confessed in an interview that he would like the plot to focus on an adult Andy trying to find and collect all his old toys for his son. Undoubtedly, it is a good idea, since, as mentioned at the beginning, Toy Story has accompanied us in all our stages, from childhood to the present day, where many have already become parents.
What Will Toy Story 5 Be About?
Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, was in charge of confirming the fifth installment of the film directed by Peter Sohn and previewing a bit of what the story is about. “I am pleased to announce that we have sequels in the works from our animation studios to some of our most popular franchises, Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia,” he said.
All indications are that this fifth installment brings back the characters we love so much, as Andy returns as an adult, with a son, and his desire to share his toys with him, much like Tim Allen was asking for.
When Will Toy Story 5 Be Released?
Toy Story 5 was originally planned to be released in June 2025, but with the Hollywood writers’ and actors’ strike, everything was delayed, so we had to wait for a new release date. In the meantime, get your tissues ready, it looks like there will be a lot of tears.
