Every generation has had a favorite band at some point or another. The ’60s, for example, had The Beatles, which marked a whole revolution that still echoes to this day. At the beginning of the ’90s, the world went crazy over the Backstreet Boys. And now, we’ve got the South Korean pop bands (K-Pop bands) in all their glory. Among them is Bangtan Boys, popularly known as BTS, which debuted in 2013 and have since conquered the hearts of millions across Europe, America, and Latin America. Jungkook
His full name is Jeon Jung-kook and he was born on September 1, 1997. Throughout his childhood, he showed great passion for sports, though he pursued a career for the stage and graduated from the School of Performing Arts in Seoul soon after. Jungkook affirms that one of his best friends is Rap Monsters, the person he admires the most.
Rap Monster
Kim Nam-joon, also known as Rap Monster, was born on September 12, 1994. He’s by far one of the best-known faces in the whole group. At 24, he speaks several languages and graduated as one of the top students in South Korea.
Suga
Born Min Yoon-gi on March 9, 1993, Suga earned a name as an underground rapper before joining BTS. Prior to the group’s rise to international fame, Suga sold lyrics in order to support his family. He’s now known as the joker of the band.
V
Kim Tae Hyung is a model, actor, and dancer was born on December 30, 1995, in South Korea. He is a passionate saxophonist, jazz and soul lover, and a fan of photography and art in general.
Jimin
Born in Busan on October 13, 1995, Park Ji-min is one of BTS’ main dancers. He took ballet and contemporary dance classes, so he’s well-prepared for the challenge.
Jin
Born on December 4, 1992, Kim Seok-jin majored in film & theatre. He has previously said he loves cooking as well.
J-Hope
His real name is Jung Ho-seok, and he was born on February 18, 1994. J-Hope is considered to be one of the best dancers in the group and worked as a street dancer before officially joining BTS.
BTS is, without a doubt, one of the foremost K-Pop bands in the world. They got two of their albums in Billboard’s 200 list in a single year—not an easy accomplishment. The first one was Love Yourself: Tear, launched in May 2018. It made BTS the very first Korean group to earn this recognition. But their success doesn’t stop there: they won the Best International Group and Best Social Media categories during the Teen Awards last year, and their fanbase just keeps getting bigger.
