Johnny Canales was an iconic figure in the Tejano and Latin music industry as he was primarily known as the host of the television show “The Johnny Canales Show,” which began in the 1980s.
The show, which aired in English and Spanish, helped launch the careers of many Latin artists, including “Selena and Los Dinos,” (yes, Selena Quintanilla) providing a platform for emerging musicians to reach a wider audience.
