There are so many of us who are terrified of falling love that the experts have even coined a term for it: Philofobia.
“I never want to be in love again.”
“I don’t want anything beyond purely physical, ever.”
“Why would I want to get that deep with that person? I’m not some delusional teen expecting romance.”
Heartbreak makes us reluctant to try love again. But then someone comes along to fill us with the excitement and anticipation of spending time with them. We might not be looking for a serious commitment, but we end up falling for them anyway. Hollywood and Disney movies molded our romantic goals and ideals. We search for that perfect person that makes us sigh, tells us stories until dawn, does silly dances with us, and lives intense emotions by our side.
The deeper we get the more doubts we have regarding what they feel for us. Are we imagining it? What if we’re not on the same page? Is this going to be another disappointment? Luckily here are some signs that can help us figure out if they’re falling in love with us.
14. You’re the first person to find about their adventures.
It wasn’t planned, one day it just happened. And suddenly whenever something good, bad, or extraordinary happens to them, you’re the first person to know.
13. You know their secrets.
Your partner trusts you so much that he’s decided to talk about things they’ve never told anyone else. Whether its wishes, embarrassing moments, or well hidden personal details, feel proud that they feel safe knowing you’ll guard what they’ve entrusted.
12. They try to make you smile.
No matter the place or the situation, they know how to get a grin on your face.

It’s not because they’re trying to impress, or even expecting something in return, they just feel like giving something they thought you’d like.

It could be a concert they want to go to, the book they just finished, or even to ask for recommendation for their next vacation, it’s all a good excuse for them to call you and start a conversation.

If either one feels the least bit uncomfortable, maybe it’s not going as great as you thought. But if you feel completely at ease, chances are that it’s mutual. And if you’re not sure, ask them. It’s always a good sign when there’s no tension to bring stuff up.

Maybe it’s your birthday, favorite color, or the band you listen to every morning. It’s as if there’s a place in their brain with your name filing all the things that make you happy.

This is one of the clearest signs. If neither one of you can help but smile when you’re together. Even if there’s a silence, an unspoken agreement makes the both of you break into laughter.

It can be their favorite sport or that hobby they usually do by themselves on a Saturday morning. As trivial as it seems, just by asking you to join, you’re soul is full of joy.
5. They notice any small changes in your appearance.
You just got a hair cut or bought a new t-shirt. You don’t even have to say anything because they’ve already given you a compliment on it.
4. They support you during the tough times.
Sometimes it’s hard to be in a good disposition, or in the mood to go out. When they realize you’re not feeling it, they don’t dance around the subject to keep everything cool. They ask you how you’re doing and how they can help.
3. You can talk all day and not get bored.
Conversations may last for hours without getting tedious. There are always funny details or honest emotions involved. You could sit there all day and feel like it’s only been a minute.
2. Random things remind them of you.
Those minimal details are the perfect time to call you and relay their whole day. Sometimes it can be to talk about some deep feelings they’ve felt with you.
