Drake Bell was sentenced to two years probation by a Cuyahoga County judge after pleading guilty to crimes against a minor in the United States.
According to AP news agency, Drake Bell, 35, was also sentenced to 200 hours of community service, all in California. The artist lives in West Hollywood.
After initially declaring himself innocent, Bell pleaded guilty last month via Zoom to one count of attempted endangerment of a minor and one misdemeanor count of disseminating material harmful to minors.
On June 22, singer and actor Drake Bell pleaded guilty at a court hearing in Ohio to two counts of felony relations against a minor.
According to Fox News and TMZ, Drake Bell appeared virtually on Zoom before Judge Timothy McCormick at the Cuyahoga County Courthouse in Cleveland.
Bell pleaded guilty to one count of disseminating material harmful to minors and one of attempted child endangerment.
The judge informed the actor that attempted child endangerment, a fourth-degree felony, carries a maximum sentence of six to 18 months in prison and/or a fine of up to $5,000. Disseminating material harmful to minors is a first-degree misdemeanor and carries a sentence of up to six months in county jail and/or a fine of up to $1,000.
Judge McCormick informed Bell that jail time is not mandatory, but that if he goes to prison, he will be subject to a discretionary post-release monitoring period of three years following his release.
Drake Bell was arrested in early June for disseminating material harmful to minors and attempting to endanger children.
FOX 8 News indicated that Drake Bell allegedly engaged in inappropriate conversation with the victim that, at times, was sexual.
His mugshot was taken at the Cuyahoga County Jail and is dated Thursday, June 3, just before 3 p.m. (local time).
Court documents show that Bell appeared in Cuyahoga County court. At that time, he pleaded not guilty and was released on a $2,500 personal bond. Drake Bell agreed to have no contact with the alleged victim in the case.
The alleged incident occurred on December 1, 2017. Bell, who also goes by the name Drake Campana, posted on his Twitter account that he was preparing to perform at The Odeon Concert Club in Cleveland on December 1, 2017, a time and place where the alleged abuse of an underage victim allegedly occurred.
