The American Music Awards, better known as the AMA’s, took place on Sunday, November 21. These awards, which recognize the most popular artists of the moment, are awarded by the public, unlike other awards that are chosen by industry professionals.
What is the AMA’s?
It is an award organized in 1973 to be the competition of the Grammy Awards. This year it was held at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California, in the United States.
Red carpets are back in all their glory, and after almost two years with no red carpets (or some unusual ones), we were dying to see glamorous and stylish outfits traditionally once again. This time some artists have surprised us with their trendy outfits, and some of them, truth be told, have disappointed us.
Worst Dressed at the AMA’s
Kali Uchis

The Colombian singer arrived on the red carpet in a pale pink corset look paired with lace-up gloves, a cape of the same satin material, and a pair of knee-high boots.
Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo showed up on the red carpet wearing a translucent dress that showed her blue lingerie underneath. The strangest thing is that she had feathers on the bottom and silver open-toed pumps. She wore no accessories, no necklace, no bracelets, nothing! Just a pair of discreet long silver earrings that she hid under her long hair with light waves. The designer responsible for this look was the British designer David Koma.
Halle Bailey

Our new Little Mermaid arrived wearing a brown velvet dress quite open though with long sleeves but showing the whole chest and abdomen adorned with thin straps. It’s an extravagant and unique design, but social media didn’t quite like it.
Becky G

The Latina singer arrived in a purple dress with slits that stirred social media platforms, not in a very good way. Becky G’s look shook the AMA’s 2021’s red carpet because it was quite simple to what we are used to. She only wore a pair of earrings and a ring as accessories. The shoes were also quite simple, a pair of black stilettos with a pointed toe and a comfortable heel. She wore a simple ponytail, and her makeup was in pink tones.
