Met Gala 2022: These celebs really took us back in time to the glamorous Gilded Age

It’s the first Monday of May, and that only means one thing, it’s Met Gala time, the most important fashion event of the year! This year’s theme is the second part of the exhibition “In America: An Anthology of Fashion,” and this time, the dress code centers on the extravagant and flamboyant fashion of the Gilded Age, a time of rapid economic and urban growth in America.

While the theme is clear and concise, unlike past themes that were more interpretative, many attendees find it hard to follow and understand the dress code. However, many got it perfectly right and really took us back with trendy and modernized looks to that fancy and dramatic age in American fashion history.
