The smell is a very powerful sense. It not only makes us feel clean or put together but also can be heavily associated with certain moments in our lives as a trigger to access those memories. Either way, we can now understand why certain scents are perceived as a luxury that people like to use on special occasions; and the Royals are no exception to this statement.

It is fair to think that this particular sense is a huge part of the glamour that the Royal Brides have access to on their wedding day. They can choose from so many perfumes that not only are fit for royalty but also smell amazingly good and will have a mark on the Royal Family’s fashion history.

From her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth, Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, here is the name, price, and availability of some of the most iconic the Royal wedding perfumes worn on Royal weddings. Who knows, maybe you can add one of them to your next shopping list?

Queen Elizabeth II

We know the Queen’s love for carnations and their particular scent, so it might be right to infer that she had to wear a related perfume on this special day. Although it is hard to be 100% certain, it has been said that White Rose from Floris was the one chosen for this wedding.

A subtle floral fragrance with some notes of violets, roses, jasmine, and of course, carnations characterize this perfume that is still available on Floris’ website. It retails for 26 pounds in its 250 ml presentation.

Princess Diana

The iconic Princess Diana never hid her love for Dior’s perfumes; but for her wedding, she went for a more exclusive fragrance called Quelques Fleurs from Houbigant Paris, which line is still available and prices can vary from 95 to 450 pounds. Definitely a very luxurious scent fit for royalty that smelled like jasmine, bergamot, and sandalwood.

Kate Middleton

The Duchess of Cambridge went for a modern scent compared to her predecessors; still, she also chose a floral scent that, with time, has become a Royal wedding staple. She decided to wear White Gardenia Petals from Illuminum London; a delicate scent that is worth £125 for its 100 ml presentation.

Last but not least, we have the Duchess of Sussex, who was the last one in the line to get married to Princess Diana’s second son, Prince Harry. She followed the Queen’s brand choice and chose to wear another Floris fragrance that was made for her specifically. The scent is called Bergamotto di Positano and has touches of vanilla, bergamot, and marine smell in it.

We can say that the Royal family is a synonym for classic luxury, and they have worn some of the most exquisite scents in the market. We can just imagine how glamorous it would feel to wear this type of scents, a stunning dress, and a beautiful tiara walking down the aisle.
