This is the true meaning of girl power. Greta Thunberg joined climate activists Vanessa Nakate from Uganda, Dominika Lasota from Poland and Mitzi Tan from the Philippines to address world’s leaders in Scotland’s UN Climate Change Conference and ask a stop of several actions that contribute to the acceleration of climate emergency.
In a letter signed by the five young climate activists, they enlist 5 key actions that must be done immediately to face climate change.
They start by declaring a betrayal by world governments to younger generations because the have failed to cut carbon emissions.
“This is not a drill. It’s code red for the Earth. Millions will suffer as our planet is devastated — a terrifying future that will be created, or avoided, by the decisions you make. You have the power to decide”, they wrote.
As well, they propose 5 key actions that require urgent attention to stop or deaccelerate catastrophic consequences:
Besides the letter, which you can sign in this website, the young activists gathered thousands of protesters to let them voices be heard in Scotland by leaders participating in the COP26.
