It seems that every day that goes by we know what could have happened after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock during the Oscars ceremony. Now we now know that LAPD was ready to arrest the actor if Rock had pressed charges.
Will Packer, an Oscars producer told in an interview with Good Morning America, that the police arrived minutes after the altercation was watched worldwide and were ready to arrest Will Smith.

“They were saying this is battery, we’re prepared to get him right now, you can press charges, we can arrest him,” tells Packer while policemen started to lay out the options Rock had.
However, the comedian, who recently addressed what happened, told them he was not going to take any action and that “he was fine”, according to Packer.
A day after the incident, the Academy announced it will begin an inquiry and that Will Smith could face “appropriate actions”.
It all started after Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Smith and G.I Jane, regarding her alopecia. Will Smith violently reacted and took onto the stage and slapped him.
He went on to say that he did so to protect his family; however, a day after the altercation he issued a public apology and said his attitude was unacceptable.
