It seems that Freddie Prinze Jr. has had too much Scooby-Doo in his life. The actor recently declared that if there was one thing he regretted in life, it was filming these movies. Of course, this is a blow right at our childhood!

More than 20 years ago, Prinze Jr. got more love from his fans thanks to his role as Fred, and despite everything, he assured that it has not been the best experience in his career. Yes, just as you read it, Freddie was not happy solving cases of false spirits with his friends that made our childhood magical.

Freddie Prinze Jr. Refuses to Do a Third Scooby-Doo Film

So bad was his experience with the production that he flat-out ruled out being part of a third Scooby-Doo live-action movie. “It’s not something I would do really. I have zero interest. I mean, it was too complicated. It’s not for me,” the actor said in an interview.

Freddie Prinze Jr. detailed in a very general way what it was like to work with producer Jim Gillespie, who made him regret being part of the cast. “There are millions of people who love this movie. It’s not the film I wanted to make, but I’ll take it. Their affection made me change my opinion of it,” he admitted. The celebrity revealed that there are two jobs he wishes he had never accepted. The first one is already mentioned and the second one is, I Know What You Did Last Summer.

So, although we all think that the cast of Scooby-Doo is the best live-action one in movie history, and although the movie really charmed several generations, Freddie Prinze Jr. still considers it one of his biggest professional regrets.
