It hasn’t even been a month since we all rejoiced with the long-awaited Friends: The Reunion special broadcast. Just now, James Corden gave us a very pleasant surprise showing us a little extra footage of that iconic reunion, plus a special Carpool Karaoke moment with the classic opening song.
With Corden driving a large golf cart through the Warner Brothers Studios, little by little Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Jennifer Aniston, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer gathered along and started chatting with Corden. After the classic question how-did-they-feel going back to the sets question, the moment nobody was expecting but blew our minds was the simpler version of the famous James Corden section, Carpool Karaoke.
Surprisingly, all six remembered the opening song “I’ll Be There for You” by The Rembrandts and after some joyful singing and hugging (and a little incident with the car), James Corden finally gets to play along at the iconic sets of the series. Corden basically did what we all would given the chance; recreating some iconic moments of the series.
After some goofing around the apartments and the also iconic hallway between them, James goes directly to hang out with the cast at Central Perk and its legendary orange couch. The seven talk a little bit about the entire reunion experience and their relationship during the show and finally close with a fun name called “The Best Friends Test” in which they all would point out to the cast member of each question.
In that game, we learned that both Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow were the ones who broke character the most during the shooting of the series. David Schwimmer is the best dancer according to everybody (except Matthew Perry who points at himself). And, that the cast member who stole more clothes from the set was Jennifer Aniston who wasn’t only content with taking out Rachel’s iconic pieces, but would also steal some of Monica’s outfits! Even more impressive is that she still wears some of them!
All in all, it was an 11-minute segment on The Late Late Show with James Corden that gave us some extra moments of a reunion all Friends fans loved dearly.
Here’s where you can watch it!
