Through several setbacks due to the pandemic, the “Friends: The Reunion” special has wrapped filming. The reunion featuring Jennifer Aniston (Rachel Green), Courteney Cox (Monica Geller), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe Buffay), David Schwimmer (Ross Geller), Matt LeBlanc (Joey Tribbiani), and Matthew Perry (Chandler Bing) has finish filming and will air through HBO Max.
An update came earlier this week and “Friend: The Reunion” will stream on May 27th, fans all over the world are excited with the announcement and expect more information soon.
In the reunion, the main characters met with the creators, David Crane and Marta Kauffman. When they were asked about a possible reunion via Zoom last year, Lisa Kudrow mentioned that they wanted to make it happen despite the pandemic.
«Most of us have not been together in the same room face to face, we have met in private many years ago, but that’s all», Kudrow said to the Hollywood Reporter. «The point of all this is to be in the same room, and that has not changed. HBO Max initially planned to start filming in March 2020 and released it in May, but didn’t, due to the pandemic.
We know very little about this special but we know that this production doesn’t have a script and that some scenes were filmed at the iconic apartment and Central Park. Matt LeBlanc, described this special as «the six of us together talking about the good old times». «We have reunited the band without the instruments», he added.
