Usually, we see James Corden, the host of the show, driving through the streets of Los Angeles, although he has also taken the show to New York, London, and even Liverpool. This time, James heads to Las Vegas to drive around the town where Dion performs every week.

The whole segment usually plays out the same way: James pretends to pick up a guest, who is always a famous singer (unless you are Michelle Obama), and in between songs, he proceeds to interview them. The guests usually end up telling stories and anecdotes. Then, they both (or all, in the case of bands) sing along to some of the artist’s greatest hits.

This case is no different. Céline Dion hops on the car looking like she’s on her way to an ultra-exclusive, secret Met Gala none of us have even heard about, sporting a silver-and-black blazer, with a scarf tied around her neck.

Though Corden usually takes on the role of the funniest in the car, Dion kind of stole the show in this episode. She starts by answering every question by signing a song, any song, with lyrics that seemed to answer his questions precisely ambiguously. Corden is hilariously failing at interviewing. Once he manages to get the segment back on track, Dion delivers one of the best Carpool Karaoke’s we’ve seen. She sings some of her best songs, but one of this episode’s best moments was certainly when both of them recreated the famous Titanic scene (in which Rose and Jack stand at the edge of the ship), while standing at the iconic Fountains of the Bellagio, all while doing their rendition of Dion’s best known song: “My Heart Will Go On.” Truly one of the most memorable episodes.
