With a design created by renowned Parisian studio Robert le Héros, the bohemian chic feel is present throughout. The large, spacious rooms draw from the graphic patterns and geometry of the original tiles and parquet floors, each having its own personality.
The façade and verandas are the perfect vantage points to admire the marvelous views of city – you can see the modernist architecture of Rio de Janeiro’s downtown, the old colonial convents and Portuguese churches, the mountain chain that surrounds the bay, and feel the late afternoon sea breeze ushering the tropical nights’ cool air that flow through the large vintage windows of the mansion, giving such a romantic atmosphere. Laurent Gelis, the creative director, bought the house in 2006 and injected his passion for Rio into every single detail in the mansion – loved at first sight by the French entrepreneur.
