Metallica finalmente anuncia el lanzamiento de su S&M2 del 2019 como un álbum en vivo y un concierto/ documental, que llegará en varios formatos el 28 de agosto, pues ya se habían calentado las aguas después de que Lars Ulrich, baterista de la banda de San Francisco, hablara en una entrevista sobre regresar al estudio y hasta crear música nueva y aun que no escuchamos track recién escritos por el grupo, nos regalaron dos canciones que estarán disponibles en este disco.
El trabajo titulado Metallica and San Francisco Symphony: S&M2 incluirá canciones de ambas presentaciones, que se llevaron a cabo los días 6 y 8 de septiembre del 2019 en el Chase Center de San Francisco conmemorando el aniversario 20 de su primer S&M, agotando las 40,000 entradas dando oportunidad a los fans de ver a Metallica como jamás imaginaron.
Este esperado lanzamiento estará disponible tanto en plataformas digitales como en servicios de streaming, además de ediciones en álbum de vinilo, CD, DVD y Blu-Ray, y para los coleccionistas estará disponible en dos box sets distintos, pues cabe destacar que la versión exclusiva super de lujo estará limitada a tan solo 500 copias que incluirá partituras utilizadas durante los shows firmadas por los integrantes sumando otros coleccionables que podrás conocer al ver el trailer.
