If you’re still looking for a breathtaking Halloween costume to impress everybody or win the big prize at your next Halloween party, let me tell you that these days, it’s all about makeup. You might have the most amazing, unique, and expensive costume, but let’s be honest, there’s nothing more mesmerizing and worthy of everybody’s praise than an amazing makeup look.
You might be aware of this if you’re into makeup, which I think you are, since you’re here. So, if you follow at least a couple of makeup artists, you might’ve already seen some cool Halloween-inspired makeup looks that are catching everybody’s attention and likes on social media. Now, though it’s cool to see everybody wearing Mexican skull (I’m guilty of that), alien, and zombie makeup looks, these days, it’s all about originality and innovation, and today, there’s probably nothing that ticks all these boxes than Katie Cole, best known in social media as Fancy Flutie.
This self-taught makeup artist from Los Angeles, California, started out by painting faces at children’s parties and has been sharing her work since 2014, but practice makes perfect, and in just a matter of years, she’s managed to grow from a regular face paint artist you’d find everywhere to literally a masterful artist capable of creating the most alluring and intricate looks to the point that you have to pay attention to details to realize it’s all made with makeup.
Cole is a prolific artist who constantly gives her over 120k followers a lot of unique content, including her now-famous 31 Halloween looks during the month of October. Now, most of her work is based on skeletons and dark themes, but always with a colorful hint that makes you wish you were as talented as her. Though, as she claims, with practice, everyone can achieve this level of skill.
So, if you’re great with makeup, these looks could be a great inspiration for your Halloween costumes. If not, you can always get lost in the intricate details of her looks.
