Underarm hyperpigmentation is a reality millions deal with. Here's a natural recipe using activated charcoal you'll love.

Keeping a uniform and healthy skin is something we all pursue, but most of the time, we tend to focus more on our face and more visible areas and forget about that specific area that, due to its sensibility, can be more problematic: underarms. Over time and for many reasons, underarms tend to darken, and although it is completely normal, it becomes a constant struggle to keep them with the same shade. It makes many of us feel insecure when we want to wear strapless blouses, swimsuits, tops, among other things. But calm down, there is a painless, inexpensive, and safe solution to lighten your underarms: activated charcoal.

According to Medical News Today, there are many ways to bring back the original color of our underarms; home remedies, as well as moisturizing or applying creams, are some of them.

Today natural remedies have become our best allies. Here is an easy and effective treatment to say goodbye to that annoying pigmentation.

Underarm lightening mask: ingredients

You will only need two ingredients for this treatment:

1 tablespoon of activated charcoal.

1 tablespoon of honey.

How to use activated charcoal to lighten underarms?

Activated charcoal absorbs the excess of sebum in the skin and drags to the surface all the dirt trapped in the pores. Bear in mind that prolonged use or use on dry skin can cause flaking.

Mix the two ingredients in a small bowl with the help of a spoon or a small stick, stir it well until it becomes a homogeneous paste, and that's it! Now we can use it.

Apply a layer of the mixture on the armpits and wait 15 to 20 minutes. Be careful not to bend your arm. If it is easier for you, apply first on one side and then on the other.

When the time has passed, rinse with plenty of lukewarm water, removing all product.

Do this once a week, and you will notice the difference. To store it, you will only need to put the remaining mixture in a container with a lid and keep it in a dry place away from sunlight.
