And this is no small feat: Cosme entered the list of the 50 best restaurants in the world in 2017 because of its contemporary cuisine inspired by Mexican culinary traditions led by chefs Enrique Olvera and Daniela Soto-Innes, along with their business partner, Santiago Pérez.

The dishes at Cosme all are deeply rooted in the flavors and traditions of Mexico, while celebrating local and seasonal ingredients from the Hudson Valley and surrounding areas. The drinks menu at Cosme focuses on artisanal spirits and is also a reflection of the ideas that are behind the food served, and thus allow the top quality ingredients to shine with their own light.

Gastronomy as inspiration

Possibly, one of the keys to the superb flavor in Daniela's creations is her lifestyle and philosophy. She is convinced the food tastes better when you are happy while you cook. The Mexican chef meditates every day and does yoga before heading to work. She also makes it a priority to ensure a chill and harmonious atmosphere in the kitchen.
