Galentine’s Day, what a concept! Thanks to Amy Poehler and her amazing Parks and Recreation character Leslie Knope now we finally have a catchy and awesome festivity to celebrate and share a great time with our wonderful gals.
It’s not that we need a specific date to do so, still, just as couples have Valentine’s Day, having a settled festivity to share with our closest friends, dress up, and share some drinks with them, is simply wonderful.
And speaking about drinks, here are some ideas you and your gals are certainly going to enjoy. They aren’t just delicious, they’re also incredibly cute and perfect to illustrate your Galentine’s Day photos!
White Chocolate Martini
For this sweet martini, you’ll need to garnish your glass first. Dip the rim with chocolate syrup and drizzle some on the bottom of the glass. In a shaker with ice, mix white chocolate liqueur and vodka. Shake with consistent motions for about 20 seconds and serve cold in the glass. You can use some shaved chocolate to decorate on the top or add some cute strawberries dipped in chocolate.
Strawberry Daiquiri
In a blender, add frozen strawberries and some fresh berries. The frozen ones will give you the slushie consistency while keeping the intense flavor of the strawberries. Add simple syrup, fresh lime juice, and regular white rum. Garnish your short glasses with lemon and salt on the rim, serve your daiquiri, and add a slice of lemon to decorate.
Watermelon Lemonade
Cut watermelon cubes and put them in a bowl with vodka. Let them sit for a couple of hours in the freezer. Once it’s frozen, mix lemonade and vodka in a shaker with ice, and shake until it’s cool. Add the frozen watermelon to a glass and top it with the lemonade mix. If you want it to be sweeter add a bit of watermelon juice or simple syrup. Garnish with lemon slices. You can cut some watermelon hearts with a cookie cutter to further decorate your cocktail.
Pink Paloma
Add white tequila to a glass with ice previously garnished with lemon and salt on the rim. Top with lemon soda or pink grapefruit soda. If you don’t have the latter, you can always add some pink grapefruit juice. Add some grapefruit or lemon wedges to decorate.
Pomegranate Margarita
Keeping up with the tequila options, what about this tasty margarita. In a mixer with ice add tequila, orange liquor, lime juice, pomegranate juice, and agave nectar. Shake well and serve in a glass. Add some pomegranate seeds and top with soda. Garnish with cute straws or lemon zest.
Raspberry Bellini
Add frozen or fresh raspberries to a shaker. Smash them in the bottom to let out the juices. Add sugar and lime juice and mash once again to mix the ingredients. Add some ice and cachaça and shake until it’s cool. Strain in a champagne glass and top with your favorite champagne. Decorate with fresh raspberries.
Wine Slushie
This is probably the easiest cocktail of them all and one your gals will definitely love. You just need some frozen raspberries, blueberries, cranberries, or strawberries and your favorite wine. The type of wine will determine the color of your cocktail, so bear in mind that. Blend both on a blender and serve in nice glasses. You can decorate the cocktail with hearts and cute cardboard straws!
Strawberry Cosmopolitan
You can’t have a gals’ night without some cosmos, Carrie Bradshaw wouldn’t like it. In a shaker, muddle some fresh strawberries (you can add sugar if you want it a bit sweeter). Add vodka, Cointreau, and freshly squeezed lime juice. Add some ice and shake until it’s cool. Strain in martini glasses and garnish with strawberries. You can add more ice if you want it colder.
Pink Gin
In a shaker with ice add your favorite gin, previously chilled tonic water, and grapefruit juice (preferably fresh). Shake until it’s cool. Serve in short glasses and decorate with sliced grapefruit and more ice. As easy as saying pink gin!
Pink Squirrel
Last but not least a pretty different and bougie but quite tasty beverage. Blend crème de noyaux liqueur (yes, that exists and is delicious!), white chocolate liqueur, and heavy cream. Serve in martini glasses previously drizzled with chocolate syrup and garnish with grated nutmeg and raspberries.
