“The Donald Trump Show” might be wrapping up with the most exciting finale ever now that the President may or may not be accused of some serious charges and leaving us wondering what everyone’s next move will be.
Michael Cohen, President Trump’s former lawyer, confidant, and fixer, was sentenced to three years in prison for his role in Trump’s alleged shenanigans. This comes only a few days after Special Counsel Investigation Robert Mueller released two memos as part of his ongoing investigation of whatever happened during the 2016 election. It now seems clear that Mueller is closing in on Donald Trump.

To put it bluntly, Mueller is investigating whether the sitting President of the United States collaborated with Russia, a hostile foreign government, to sway the election in his favor and also whether he lied about it while he was already in office. So far, it doesn’t look good for the President.
To begin with, Trump’s right-hand men have now all turned on him. Last August, Cohen pleaded guilty on a simultaneous investigation by the Southern District of New York that looks into an illegal campaign payment to silence porn actress Stormy Daniels regarding her extramarital affair with Trump. Cohen has already admitted to paying her “in coordination with and at the direction of a candidate for federal office,” aka Trump, while also pointing at the President’s implication in a scheme to sway the election.
On Friday, Mueller released two memos in which Cohen admitted to wrongdoings on behalf of his most famous client. He specifically narrated attempts to court Russian government insiders in order to close a deal on luxury apartment towers in Moscow. Though he lied about it at first, Cohen has now basically admitted to working on behalf of Trump to make money off of his Presidency, while also attempting to develop political ties with Vladimir Putin.
Mueller made sure potential readers of the memos know Cohen was not acting alone and that his efforts to make a deal happen between Russia and Trump — with Trump’s consent– “occurred at a time of sustained efforts by the Russian government to interfere with the US presidential election.”

In other words, what this probably demonstrates is that Mueller has enough evidence to prove Trump used his campaign, not to vouch for Americans’ interest, but to make money. In short, Trump sought to profit and then encouraged an illegal effort to hide these facts. Mueller likewise seemed to hint he’s now able to prove Trump looked to collaborate in a scheme with a foreign leader who he knew was seeking to influence the Presidential election. All of this begs many questions, but, most importantly, it challenges the legitimacy of the 2016 elections. So much for “draining the swamp.”
These latest news may be the turning point for the Trump story, which can only end in two likely ways: Trump will either be impeached or he’ll run for a second term.
All we have to do now is wait and see how it plays out.
Regarding “The Donald Trump Show”, this is my crazy fan theory: if Mueller reaches the conclusion we’re all thinking, that is, that Trump is guilty of personal enrichment and collusion, then Congress will now face a choice. Democrats, who will soon control the House, will have to decide whether to proceed with impeaching the President. They will.
However, you need two thirds of the Senate for an impeachment to actually take place. Thus, the Republican Party, which still controls the Senate, will have to decide if they proceed against their own president. They won’t.
Unless, of course, Mueller’s revelations are too scandalous to ignore, in which case Republicans may, just may, put pressure on Trump just like they did with Richard Nixon in 1974. Don’t hold your breath, though.
So, what are your crazy fan theories? Don’t forget to tell us in the comment section.
