The stars are shining more than ever in the show business universe with these must-see artists in 2018.

We have all been starstruck at some point in our lives. Have you ever stared at the TV screen while your favorite celebrity was in it? Nothing was more important than catching every second of their appearance. It's such a common feeling that many artists have written about it, like Lady Gaga and Robbie Williams, for instance. But then, we grow up and start losing track of what's going on in Hollywood, and suddenly we don't even recognize who's the face on the poster of the newest blockbuster.

Show business is constantly evolving, and sometimes this makes it harder for new talent to break through and stand out despite their huge talent. Have some of the newest, up-and-coming artists gone under your radar? If so, don’t worry, we've got you covered, and we're going to help you stay up to date on everyone you should keep an eye on. Check out these 5 must-see artists of 2018:

Camila Mendes

This gorgeous brunette is starring in one of the hottest shows on the air right now, Riverdale. The 23-year-old is definitely more than just a pretty face: her acting skills are simply perfect, as you can see in her portrayal of the flawless, former queen bee, Veronica Lodge. Her studies at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts make her as prepared as she is beautiful. Another remarkable thing about her that she is passionate about raising awareness about eating disorders and sizeism, calling attention to how the industry's use of photoshop creates unreal expectations for women's bodies. She’s, without a doubt, one empowered rising star.

Diego Boneta

You might remember this heartbreaker from Miranda Cosgrove’s "About You Now" video, but if that doesn’t ring a bell, maybe try recalling the 2012 musical dramedy ‘Rock of Ages’, where Boneta stars with Julianne Hough and Tom Cruise. From singing to acting and dancing to modelling, this guy can do it all. Currently, he’s portraying one of the biggest singers in Latin America, Luis Miguel, on the bioseries of the same name. He’s a handsome guy with an incredible talent you don’t want to miss.

Tyler Posey

If you went through your teenage years in the last 7 years –or you just like teen dramas– you’ve probably heard of Tyler Garcia Posey, better known as Tyler Posey. This Californian has broken more than one heart with his charming smile. Known for playing Scott McCall on MTV’s Teen Wolf, Posey has come a long way since his role as Mauro in Collateral Damage and Ty Ventura in Maid in Manhattan. His acting chops have garnered him many Teen Choice Awards, among others, opening new doors for this young promise. His most recent work is the supernatural horror film ‘Truth or Dare’, where he stars alongside Lucy Hale.

Makenzie Vega

Mackenzie's a young, promising artist who has stayed away from the tabloids, so that's why you might not have heard of her yet. But you might remember her as Grace Florrick, Alicia Florrick’s daughter in The Good Wife. She comes from a family with a lot of artistic talent. Her sister, Alexa Vega, is also an actress, and she’s the daughter of former model Gina Rue. After getting her start in show business at a young age with roles in films like The Family Man and Made, Makenzie will surely keep us entertained with many more projects in the near future.

Lauren Jauregui

The former Fifth Harmony member is someone you should keep an eye on. Another great artist proving that talent and beauty are a great combination. Besides being an amazing singer with powerful vocals, Jauregui’s power goes beyond the stage. She’s known for being a fearless activist on behalf of the LGBT+ community and opposing the Trump administration's policies on foreign affairs. She has also collaborated with Demi Lovato on her ‘CAST on tour,’ raising awareness about mental health issues. Lauren is an incredible human being who uses her voice not only to please our ears, but to make a change in the world, and that’s why we applaud her.

The talent of these artists is undeniable, so maybe Barney Stinson’s "new is always better" motto doesn’t apply to everything, but discovering new artists from all over the world to follow is pretty sweet. How many of the artists on the list did you already know? Let us know if there’s someone else you think we should have included here.
