Like the rough pebble that is smoothed out by the rushing waters of a river, everything in life flows and all elements can impact the course of a person’s life. Human beings are governed by thoughts, past experiences, and a drive to rise above the rest. Each culture, tribe, and civilization has sought to find meaning in this world by creating unique traditions and customs that secure the place of man in this changing world. Without a doubt, culture was born of the imagination, since the first time man stood on two legs and began a journey that would carry it to every corner of the world. All populations share a raw human genius, spirituality, and intellectual prowess.

For many centuries, Indian thinkers have spoken of the ṣaḍ darśana, or “six views” on reality. A complex Hindu philosophy that seeks to explain human existence and the spirit. In the traditional sense, darśana refers to the moment a devote worshipper is beheld by their deity. It also refers to a vision of the true nature of this world and one’s personal path to liberation. Prosperity is possible through self-knowledge, and discovering all the elements that bind us to the world.
The researcher, Vyacheslav Ruzov, has exhaustively documented the Indian culture and these six views. In his discussions with Indian wise men he identified 7 things you should always keep secret in order to be successful and prosperous in life.
–1. Future Plans

Avoid speaking about your future plans until you’ve actually fulfilled them. Such plans often have weak spots which you haven’t noticed. If you voice them, people will point out the mistakes and pull your plans apart, leading you to become disheartened to overcome them.
–
2. Good Deeds

Don’t share information about any good deed or charitable work you’ve done. If you boast about such things they can quickly lead you to arrogance. If you feel you have to open your mouth and flaunt it to the world maybe it is time for some introspection, are you doing these actions out of altruism or the desire to be praised?
–
3. Austerity

Never reveal the details of your lifestyle. If it’s love, rest, money, or sex, it is best to remain quiet. If you opt for austerity to achieve spiritual goals then it makes no sense to boast about it. Your emotions must be harmonious and the desire to impress and receive praise is a sign that you have a long road ahead to achieve internal peace.
–
4. Courage and Bravery

Everyday we face different tests and challenges and many times we receive recognition for the visible accomplishments. No one will give you a pat on the back for overcoming deep emotional obstacles and don’t expect it will happen. It’s not for you to decide whether your acts of bravery are worthy of recognition — therein lies the lesson.
–
5. Spiritual Knowledge

Never share your thoughts on what you consider to be your personal enlightened knowledge. It is your own personal journey rather than an objective truth, if you start blurting out the answers to the questions of life and death, you will only seem condescending to others. In very few and rare cases can people benefit from your thoughts on these far-reaching subjects.
–
6. Family Conflicts

Revealing any problems in your family life to others is never worthy. The less you spill secrets about your family to others, the stronger it will be. Such conflicts can only be solved within the four walls of a family home and between loved ones.
–
7. Negative Thoughts

Don’t talk about or dwell on unpleasant things you’ve heard people say. Just as you can drag mud into a house, you can soil your mind as well. If you repeat all the awful and foolish things people say then your life will become a mirror of this negativity.
