Who Could Possibly Beat The Beatles On The Charts? Winning Combo Bad Bunny And Drake Are The Kings Now

With the song “MIA”, where the Canadian and the Puerto Rican singer get together, they have just beaten the record held by The Beatles for having the most singles in the Billboard Top 10 in a year.

You've probably heard this song recently, with Drake singing a few words in Spanish, and Bad Bunny doing what he knows best: singing verses full of sexual innuendo. Well, “MIA” has just helped Drake beat the record held by The Beatles for the largest number of singles to debut on the Billboard Top 10.

This is the 12th single released by Drake this year that appears in the Top 10, with a debut at No. 5 on the Hot 100 last week. The Beatles set the record in 1964 with 11 singles that made it to the Top 10. That year was very prolific for the British band, who had a world tour where they performed in three continents. They also released not just one album like Drake, but six, including the legendary “A Hard Day’s Night.”

The album “Scorpion”, released in last June, is the fifth in Drake’s career, and seven of the 12 tracks in this new record have been on the Top 10 charts, thanks to streaming services. Of course, one of the most popular from this album is “In My Feelings,” which became viral after celebrities and people all over the world made a challenge to dance to the tune. It got more than 393 million streams on Spotify. Quite a lot!

The record to beat now for Drake is the most No. 1s in a single year, still held by The Beatles from that fantastic year of 1964, but it seems that the Canadian will likely be the king of the charts soon.

And Bad Bunny has been conquering the charts too. This year, the hit “I Like It” with Cardi B and J Balvin peaked the Billboard charts at No. 1 on July, but some others have made it into the Top 100 this year, such as “Te Boté” and “Krippy Kush.” It seems that the Latino music filled with trap and reggaeton is definitely changing the way we dance everywhere in the world. What do you think?
