There’s no Thanksgiving without the famous parade that runs through New York City street.
This year, after 2020’s without public due to the pandemic, was full of joy and excitement and is a perfect excuse to prepare for the holidays.
For the first time, Grogu, better known as Baby Yoda made an appearance in this almost 100-year-old parade that celebrates Thanksgiving. Here are some of the best shots of this popular display of joy.
The parade begins at West 77th Street and Central Park West and ends in front of the iconic Macy’s flagship store on 34th Street in Herald’s Square.
There are 28 balloons with the shape of beloved characters such as Snoopy, Baby Boss and Grogu, which is a debut.
There are more than 8,000 parade participants between dancers, musicians and the ones in charge of the balloons.
Initially, the parade ended right in front of Macy’s store as to unveil the Christmas windows display.
Snoopy, as well as Mickey Mouse, has been one the most popular characters that often appear in the parade.
Last December, the parade was televised and with no public due to de pandemic. This year, presenting a proof of vaccination as well as social distancing was required.
Next 2024, the parade will be a 100 year tradition that was once started by Macy’s employees and nowadays is an international show.
