Kourtney Kardashian underwent emergency fetal surgery within weeks of giving birth because she and her baby’s lives were at risk. This procedure is performed before a baby is born, allowing life-threatening birth defects to be treated and, in some cases, improving outcomes.
Through social media, the influencer shared a photo of her holding hands with Travis Barker to explain that her pregnancy had complications.

Fortunately, she noted, the doctors managed to solve it and get both of them to safety. She also took the opportunity to thank her husband, who, without hesitation, traveled to the United States to be with his family.
“I will always be grateful to my amazing doctors for saving our babies’ lives. I am eternally grateful to my husband, who ran alongside me during the tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterward, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for helping me through this,” she wrote.
Kourtney Kardashian stressed that she was very afraid of what might happen, as she has been through three pregnancies, and in none of them did she face something similar.
“As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery. I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that sense of fear.”
Finally, the also businesswoman expressed her understanding and respect for moms who have had to fight for their babies during pregnancy. “Praise God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby in my belly and safe was the real blessing,” she concluded.
