After it was revealed that Timothée Chalamet would be the protagonist of Wonka, which will address the life of young Willy Wonka before creating his famous chocolate factory, there were few images of what would be the prequel to the famous chocolatier.

However, a new trailer was unveiled today, which gives us a little more detail of what will be this new installment that tells a reboot of the franchise of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Based on the story written by Roald Dahl, one of the best-selling children’s books of all time, Wonka tells the wonderful story of how the greatest inventor, magician, and chocolatier became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today.

Wonka: New Trailer

What is clear to us is that this new movie will show another version of Willy Wonka, as it will be a glimpse into the young years of the famous chocolatier before he became the icon the whole world knows.

In the new trailer, we can see the moment when Wonka first sees an Oompa Loompa after catching him hanging around his house, who reveals to him the existence of Oompa Loompaland. Thus, the young Wonka’s dream begins to be forged, presenting himself to the world as a sort of magician, inventor, and chocolatier.

However, the aristocracy of the time was not very happy with what he did, because they did not like that his creations could be accessible to “poor” people. Despite this and the fact that the same aristocracy tries to prevent him from going ahead with his creations, Wonka does not give up and decides to follow his dreams and change the world. Here is the new trailer for Wonka:

After seeing this second trailer, we are even more anxious to see it on the big screen, because the cast, besides the wonderful Timothée Chalamet, is composed of great actors and actresses, including Hugh Grant, Keegan Michael-Key, Paterson Joseph, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson, Olivia Colman, Jim Carter, Natasha Rothwell, Simon Farnaby, among other great actors directed by Paul King, the filmmaker of the Paddington saga.

The premiere date is scheduled for December 15, so make room in your schedule to enjoy the last releases of the year and it is also perfect for the Christmas season.
