House of the Dragon is on its way to becoming one of the best series of all time, so after the great reception that the first part had, George R. R. Martin is sure that the story will continue for a while. The creator of this fantastic universe confirmed that the series will have four seasons, in which we will be able to enjoy a good development of the original story, based on the book Fire and Blood. The writer explained on his blog that over the past few months, he has spent a lot of time with director Ryan Condal and his team of writers to discuss all the details about the new seasons.
“I spent two days locked in a room with Ryan Condal and his writing team (Sara Hess, Ti Mikkel, David Hancock, and Philippa Goslett) talking about the third and fourth seasons of The House of the Dragon,” he revealed.
During that time, the creative team and George debated for hours about what pace the plot should take, although the creator assured that those days were not enough, so he stayed close to make sure the series stayed on track.
How Many Episodes Will the Second Season Have?
The second season of ‘House of the Dragon‘ will be made up of 8 episodes, instead of the 10 that the first installment had. This reduction could be related to a broader renewal strategy that will allow the plot to get the green light for a third season, something that is undoubtedly excellent news for all fans.
