It seems that the sordid story of Gypsy Rose Blanchard has come to a happy ending, or better say, a new chapter, as the now 32-year-old woman has finally been released from prison this Thursday.
According to reports, Gypsy Rose left the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri, early in the morning, at 3:30 a.m. We must remember she was granted parole and was released three years early, as she was serving a 10-year sentence. She was originally scheduled to be released in 2026.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard was famously trialed for her participation in the murder of her mother Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard, in 2015. She had conspired with her then-boyfriend, Nicholas Godejohn, to take Dee Dee’s life and escape from her controlling rule.
Dee Dee Blanchard had Munchausen syndrome by proxy, a disorder and a serious form of child abuse in which a caregiver, often a parent, exaggerates or fabricates illness in a child they are responsible for. Dee Dee made Gypsy and the world believe she had leukemia; as revealed by Gypsy in an interview, she shaved her head constantly and fed her through a tube despite Gypsy being perfectly healthy (not to mention the many surgeries and treatments she forced her to undergo).

Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s First Hours in Freedom
As mentioned, Gypsy Rose left the correctional center in the morning; she was picked up by her husband Ryan Scott Anderson. Gypsy and Ryan met through letter correspondence in 2020 while she was still serving her prison sentence. They married in a small ceremony inside the Chillicothe Correctional Center in Missouri on July 21, 2022.
Anderson’s presence fueled speculation, as he appeared in the correctional riding a white Cadillac sedan with the plate “Hitman.” Many started wondering if this was a bad joke or simply something to give people something to talk about. There are no images of Gypsy leaving the correctional, but Ryan was seen holding a camera all the time.

It’s been said that Gypsy and Ryan have already negotiated a documentary with Lifetime, the reason why he’s been documenting everything about Gypsy’s release and first hours in freedom. The couple went to a hotel right after to have some rest; hours later they were spotted at a footwear shop. She was seen early leaving the hotel wearing only socks.
All in all, in all the footage, Gypsy looks happy and overwhelmed, trying to enjoy every single moment of her freedom. We can say, it’s the very first time in all her life where she can do what she pleases without following someone’s orders.
But as we know, shoe shopping wasn’t really the big thing she’s planned for her free life. Gypsy Rose has already tickets to attend the Kansas City Chiefs’s game on New Year in the hopes of meeting her idol Taylor Swift. Everybody is crossing their fingers to make it happen!
