Maybe you’re one of those people who enjoy partying every single weekend. Maybe you’re not, but you still enjoy the occasional fun night of boundless dancing and heavy drinking. Indeed, having a drink can often make even the most awkward people turn into a great dancer, an amazing singer, and an extremely confident conversationalist. However, drinking can also turn the healthiest person’s liver into an outright mess, allowing it to perform only 20 out of 500 functions as you party.
In fact, the liver is one of the most hard-working organs in the whole body, regularly fighting off infections, producing and releasing proteins and hormones of all kinds, and taking care of clotting—all while keeping your blood’s sugar levels in check. Yeah, livers are that amazing. But, when you drink, you severely impair its ability to function well, and risk doing some irreparable damage in the process.

Not all is lost, though. Even if you do partake in a prolonged weekend of heavy drinking, there are natural methods that can help you keep your liver safe and in working order. It’s all about drinking the right juices, actually—they’re delicious, healthy, and provide the benefits of fruits and other organic complements whose main role is to detox your body. Juices are ideal for adding the necessary vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to the metabolism.
In only 15 minutes, a good juice can give you back the energy that your body normally spends when digesting. And these specialized juices are perfect for regenerating your liver specifically, so keep reading if you want to know how to detox such an important organ after a wild party weekend.

Apple juice
This fruit has plenty of fiber and malic acid, which helps liver cells regenerate. It also helps protect the organ’s walls to better fend off infections. As a plus, you can add some sugar to the recipe, if necessary.
How to make it: You’ll need two to three apples, a lemon, water, and just a little bit of sugar. Mix it and take it to work or drink it during breakfast. It helps if you add some cinnamon on top.

Lemon & beet
Beets have betalains—a substance that rids the body of heavy metals, which can, in turn, prevent certain cancers. Lemon, on the other hand, can cleanse the liver and colon of any impurities. Together they become an efficient natural antiseptic that both cleans and protects the liver.
How to make it: Use one beet and two lemons. Add some water, and blend it all together. Do not add sugar or any other extra sweetener.

Orange & ginger
Citrus fruits like oranges contain antioxidants and pectin, ideal for eliminating unwanted fat and toxins from the organisms by cleaning the liver. They also strengthens the immune system, providing an overall health boost. Ginger, on its part, contains anti-inflammatory and digestive properties which help both the liver and digestive system as a whole.
How to make it: Mix an orange, a spoonful of shredded ginger, and a little olive oil. Drink it as soon as it’s out of the blender.

Cranberry, cucumber & apple
These fruits contain purifying properties that play an important role in detoxifying the liver. They have high concentrations of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that can crucially prevent bacterial infections. Adding cucumber to the mix is ideal, as it has Vitamin C and A—making it particularly rich in antioxidants and calcium.
How to make it: You need two sliced apples, ½ cup of cranberries, and one sliced cucumber. Mix everything together with water and, if you prefer, with a little bit of sugar.

Carrot & beet
With high content of Vitamin A, B, and C, carrots can both prevent impurities from accumulating in your body and help eliminate them from the liver. Adding beet turns this juice into a natural antiseptic that clears any unwanted substances from your metabolism.
How to make it: You’ll need four carrots, one sliced beet, and water. Mix everything together, and drink as soon as you’re done blending.

If you want to keep your liver in prime condition, it’s time you start living the healthier by regularly drinking natural juice. Don’t be afraid to mix and match ingredients—even if they seldom go together otherwise. Also, keep sugar to a minimum.
If you do this, you’ll take a big step towards keeping you liver and the rest of your organs healthy. Enjoy!
