His death was confirmed by his family through a statement in which they also asked for privacy and expressed that he had been surrounded by love in his final moments. This was definitely the end of an era for heavy metal, just 17 days after his last concert in Birmingham, where he reunited with the original members of Black Sabbath.
What was the real cause of Ozzy Osbourne’s death?
Just moments ago, The New York Times and The Sun accessed the death certificate of the late Ozzy Osbourne and confirmed the cause of death just weeks after his passing. The certificate, according to the mentioned outlets, was filed by Osbourne’s daughter Aimee.
According to the obtained information, the star died of “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest” and “acute myocardial infarction,” with coronary artery disease and Parkinson’s with autonomic dysfunction as contributing conditions.
Since 2020, Ozzy Osbourne had confirmed his devastating diagnosis of type 2 Parkinson’s, a neurodegenerative variant that deteriorates the central nervous system and can cause multisystem complications — as we saw in Ozzy’s case. This is without mentioning the multiple spinal injuries the singer suffered after previous accidents, like his falls in 2003 and 2019.
Although there were rumors of euthanasia, his family confirmed that he died of natural causes, surrounded by love and in peace. His daughter Kelly even debunked false versions generated by artificial intelligence regarding an assisted procedure.
This means Ozzy Osbourne had diseased heart arteries (coronary artery disease), which led to a heart attack. That heart attack triggered the cardiac arrest. The Parkinson’s with autonomic dysfunction was an additional issue: his body could no longer properly regulate heart rate or blood pressure, which made it much harder for him to withstand the heart attack and recover. In other words, all of those conditions compounded and worsened the situation until it became fatal.
