Today, we celebrate the 76th birthday of one of the most iconic writers of contemporary literature, Stephen King. Known as the “Master of Horror,” King has dominated the literary scene for decades, turning nightmares into unforgettable stories that have left an indelible mark and show us that art can come from even the darkest places.
It is for that reason that we will now take a look back at his impressive career, which has left us trembling with fear on more than one occasion.

Stephen Edwin King was born on September 21, 1947, in Portland, Maine and although his childhood was difficult because at the age of two, he was abandoned by his father and grew up with several economic problems, he managed to transform all those obstacles into success.
His writing career began in the 1970s, and his first published novel, Carrie, became an instant hit and marked the beginning of a long list of bestsellers. Since then, King has continued to reap the rewards of his hard work, having written more than 60 novels and endless short stories is estimated to have sold more than 350 million copies worldwide.
