I know that sometimes the hype can stop you or make you feel unsure when it comes to deciding whether to read a book or not. Whenever I read a book that has a lot of hype, I’m thinking that I’ll hate it and I’ll be the only one with an unpopular opinion because that’s always what happens to me, but with these books I could really share the enthusiasm. For this reason, I felt that I had to make a list with my favorite readings with a lot of hype because if I like them, I think you would like them, as well. I’m going to choose only the five books with the most hype I’ve read and loved. Here are my impressions on these incredible books, along with the synopsis by the editor.
Every Heart a Doorway (Wayward Children #1) by Seanan McGuire
These books are really INCREDIBLE. To be honest, I enjoyed the first book very much, but it’s not my favorite; the second and the fourth book are by far my favorites, but still, I included this one because it’s the beginning of everything, and I think it’s so worth it. If you haven’t yet given this series an opportunity, I recommend that you do it. It’s entirely fantasy, it has diverse and charming characters, and many important topics are discussed. In addition, each book is a unique and different journey.
Children have always disappeared under the right conditions; slipping through the shadows under a bed or at the back of a wardrobe, tumbling down rabbit holes and into old wells, and emerging somewhere… else.
But magical lands have little need for used-up miracle children. Nancy tumbled once, but now she’s back. The things she’s experienced… they change a person.

The Cruel Prince (The Folk of the Air #1) by Holly Black
This book is pure FIRE. I love how it took me by surprise. This is one of those that I didn’t think I would love as much as everyone since the hype is real, but I did it, I enjoyed it a lot and I kept thinking about it even today, because that ending is everything, and the second book is great as well. This story is full of betrayal and evil fairies and fights and an extraordinary female main character who shows again and again what female power really means. Also, if you like plot twists and complex characters, you’ll love this one.
Of course I want to be like them. They’re beautiful as blades forged in some divine fire. They will live forever.
And Cardan is even more beautiful than the rest. I hate him more than all the others. I hate him so much that sometimes when I look at him, I can hardly breathe.

Sadie by Courtney Summers
This book is so original. It’s one of those books that I think nobody should miss. The author has created a mystery thriller, captivating, cruelly real, and heartbreaking. It touches very sensitive topics such as rape and murder, but I think if you feel like trying, you should do it. It’ll leave you thinking after reading it, and I’ve heard that the audiobook is one of the best.
A missing girl on a journey of revenge. A Serial―like podcast following the clues she’s left behind. And an ending you won’t be able to stop talking about.
Sadie hasn’t had an easy life. Growing up on her own, she’s been raising her sister Mattie in an isolated small town, trying her best to provide a normal life and keep their heads above water.

Courtney Summers has written the breakout book of her career. Sadie is propulsive and harrowing and will keep you riveted until the last page.
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid
If I had to describe this book with just one word, I would say PASSION. This fascinating and captivating story feels like a real biography about a character like no other, our fantastic Evelyn Hugo, and you’ll see that you can’t stop reading. It’s really incredible. It’s a journey of discovery, learning, love, and betrayal, with characters that feel 100% real.
Aging and reclusive Hollywood movie icon Evelyn Hugo is finally ready to tell the truth about her glamorous and scandalous life. But when she chooses unknown magazine reporter Monique Grant for the job, no one is more astounded than Monique herself. Why her? Why now?

The Wicked Deep by Shea Ernshaw
OMG, this book. If I had to marry a book, I’d choose this one, and I know it sounds weird, but it makes sense in my mind. If you’re thinking about a magical, mysterious, and atmospheric story, this book is exactly what you need. It’s everything I love in one book and reading it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, so now my mission is for you to read it if you haven’t done it yet.
