Born in New York City in 1973, Alec moved around his childhood, living in New Jersey, Connecticut, and San Diego. After graduating from the University of San Diego, he pursued a career in acting and modeling.
In 2004, Alec won the second season of the reality show I Wanna Be a Soap Star, which landed him the contract role of Del Henry on the long-running soap opera All My Children.
