In a recent interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast, Jade took us on a trip down memory lane, sharing the story of her brief (and slightly awkward) date with the former One Direction star.

Jade Thirlwall revealed how Harry Styles ghosted her after their first date
Both singers became famous after participating in different seasons on The X Factor, however it seem fate brought them together before they became the pop icons they are today.
At just 16, Jade went on a date with Harry Styles when he was still at the beginning of One Direction, but the experience, which might sound like a dream date for anyone, didn’t end the way she expected.
“I think we went on like one date when again, we were like 16…” Jade shared on the podcast, describing the moment with a mix of humor and honesty.
“I thought, ‘Well, that’s it, it’s over, he’s gone, he made it.’” The singer explained. The reason? Harry’s band was starting to take off globally, and it seems like the young singer didn’t have time to keep up with casual dating.
The Reunion No One Saw Coming
Yet life always takes unexpected turns, years later, when Jade had already made a name for herself and Little Mix, she ran into Harry Styles.

And, surprisingly, he made it clear how sorry he was for ghosting her. “I saw him… and he said, I’m really sorry for ignoring you.” Jade shared.
Louis Theroux himself couldn’t help but joke about it: “He ghosted you.” But far from holding up a grudge against Harry, Jade described him as “very talented” and “very very lovely”, making it clear that time allowed her to view things in a more mature way.
