With over 350,000 fans casting votes, People’s 2024 Readers’ Choice Poll was reportedly the “most fiercely contested” one yet.
The annual “Sexiest Man Alive” issue, which People Magazine has made a cultural staple, includes categories where fans have ultimate say in naming their favorites.
Harry Styles faced tough competition from Shaboozey, Zach Bryan, and Role Model, but ultimately, his dedicated fanbase secured his win. In true People fashion, the race was intense, featuring everything from celebrity write-ins to campaign slogans and even tongue-in-cheek attack ads.
Not everyone took the results quietly. Role Model, a musician, ironically showed his disagreement.

Despite his earnest and comedic pleas to fans to support the “underdog” (even quipping that he needed the win more than food or a Grammy), Role Model placed runner-up. In a playful Instagram video after the announcement, he jokingly vented, “I hope you’re happy,” addressing those who voted for Styles.
He continued with a tongue-in-cheek message to People, saying, “You had a chance to create a real underdog story.”

The poll included some other notable winners. Joe Jonas took home the title of “Sexiest BRAT” for his playful social media posts and cheeky personality. Jeremy Allen snagged the award for “Sexiest Tattoos,” edging out competitors like Bad Bunny and Post Malone.
Meanwhile, Jason and Travis Kelce won “Sexiest Podcast Hosts” for their joint NFL podcast, leaving Penn Badgley and Josh Peck in the dust. And in a heartthrob-heavy competition, Twilight star Robert Pattinson won “Sexiest First-Time Dad” over Justin Bieber and Maluma.
