The United States has just surpassed China and Italy in the ranking of countries with the highest number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the world, reaching more than 400,000.
According to the latest report by Johns Hopkins University, China has 82,809 cases, while Italy reached 135,586 cases. However, Italy is the country with the highest number of deaths due to Covid-19, totaling 17,127.
The US has shown a quick rise in cases during the last weeks. More than 12,000 people have tested positive in the last 24 hours. The number of deaths is more than 4,000.
