Who hasn’t heard about the tallest human in the world? Or how about the oldest person who was ever lived on Earth? But how about those records that aren’t so talked about but still deserved to be mentioned?
Beginning as an idea in the 1950s, by the late Sir Hugh Beaver, Guinness started as a book that would contain facts that answered the common arguments that happened in pubs. Fast-forward to the present and this register, formerly known as Guinness Book of Records, is now the absolute authority on record-breaking achievements.
Every year, Guinness World Records publishes a list of the people, animals, robots, and more, crowned by this global brand. In honor of Guinness World Records Day, here are some weird world records that actually exist and will make you think everything is possible… literally EVERYTHING.
Most balls caught by a dog with the paws
On 22 March 2015, a beagle named Purin broke that record of most balls caught by a dog with the front paws.
This lovely fellow achieved to catch 14 mini soccer balls while standing on her legs. Funny thing? Purin surpassed herself for she was the previous champion of this title, which she obtained in 2014.
This record was achieved by the 9-year-old beagle alongside her owner, Makoto Kumagai, in Sakura, Chiba, Japan. After this, I wouldn’t doubt that some soccer/football teams considered adding the dog to their team as their main goalkeeper.

Most pubs visited
Speaking of the Guinness birthplace, Bruce Masters took upon himself to visit the most number of pubs throughout his life.
From 1960 up to 29 January 2014, Bruce managed to hit 46,495 pubs and different drinking establishments in the UK. While establishing his record of most pubs visited, Bruce took the opportunity to sample the local brew that were available.
Cheers to you, mate!

Largest collection of hamburger related items
If celebrities like Henry Cavill, BTS, or even Spiderman can have devoted fans that collect various items related to these icons, why not dedicate a room in honor of an emblematic food? Perhaps that’s what Harry Sperl questioned as he decided to create his own compilation of hamburger-related items.
Harry, also known as Hamburger Harry, managed to accomplish this record by possessing 3,724 pieces with a burger theme, from a cheeseburger water bed to a burger motorcycle. The latter is Harry’s favorite item, which he calls Hamburger Harley, and it’s a transformed 1987 HD Sportster.
Apparently, the Burger King does exist. Seriously, that’s how Guinness decided to crown their champion. His kingdom (a.k.a. his house) is located in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Largest gathering of people dressed as trees
In this case, there was a deeper purpose behind the establishment of the record. With the goal of creating awareness for the welfare of the people, protection of nature, yoga, and meditation, Sant Shri Arihant Rishiji, a world foundation, and Jayam Ideal Youth Organization gathered 1000 people dressed as trees under a program held in Mumbai.
School students and young fellows participated in this in order to demonstrate the inner energy and capacity of the juveniles. With kids and acts like these, the future looks bright.

Most eyebrow waxes performed in 8 hours by a team
In 2017, a team of brow experts gathered in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia to break the record of most eyebrow wax performance. The event took place in Benefit Cosmetics’s Myer City store.
The team’s record was part of the brand’s “Bold is Beautiful” campaign, which focuses on empowering women and fundraising for the following Australian charities: Sister 2 Sister, Look Good Feel Better, and Fitted for Work.
In 8 hours, 435 brows were waxes, meaning more than 54 waxes an hour! As the saying goes, “with pain comes beauty”. And if it was for a good cause, then more so.

Most robots dancing simultaneously
With a total of 1,372 robots, Rome witnessed the achievement of the huge synchronized mechanical group. The most robots dancing simultaneously record was accomplished by TIM S.p.A., an Italian telecommunications company.
The choreograph was performed by an Alpha 1S robot, which is under 40 cm (15.7 in) tall, and it’s made of aluminum alloy and plastic coating.
This little guy proved that robots have got some moves for the dance floor!

Highest bar jump by a llama
Who says animals can’t perform as well as the Olympic competitors? At Dogfest, in Arley Hall, Cheshire, UK, the athletic Caspa, owned by Sue Williams, managed to jump a bar at a 1.13 m (3 ft 8.5 in) level. Williams stated that she was a “very proud llama mummy”. With a lovely superstar llama-like Caspa, who wouldn’t?

Largest mixed vegetable sculpture
We’ve been told phrases like “don’t play with your food” and “finish all your vegetables”. Well, looks like this record broke those rules by creating the largest mixed vegetable sculpture!
The figure resembled a stegosaurus and measured 14.31 m (46 ft 11 in) long, 3.27 m (10 ft 8 in) wide, and 5.4 m (17 ft 8 in) high! It was achieved by Zunyi Culture & Tourism Development (Group) Co., Ltd. (China) in Chishui, Guizhou, China, on 22 September 2018.
The dinosaur sculpture was made with 10 vegetables, weighed 41 tons, and it took 8 people and 7 days to build it. Now that’s a record that’s high on vitamins!

Ok, I’ll stop with the puns…
