Remember that gorgeous Schiaparelli dress that Lady Gaga wore to President Biden’s inauguration back in January? Well, the singer revealed it was designed to be bulletproof.
The navy and red gown was made to protect Gaga on one of the most important days in American democracy.
“This is one of my favorite things I’ve ever worn,” Gaga said to British Vogue. “I wore this Schiaparelli design for the inauguration, and nobody knows this, but this is a bulletproof dress”.
She also recalled the Inauguration Day as “one of the proudest days of my whole life”; Gaga said that being part of the transition from Trump to Biden is something to cherish and something she’ll be telling to her children.

The singer also revealed that she didn’t feel panicked when wearing a bulletproof dress, because it was kind of fulfilling her dream.
“Singing in a Schiaparelli bulletproof dress. I don’t know if people know this about me, but if I weren’t who I am today, I would have been a combat journalist. That was one of my dreams,” she added.
The dress, designed by Schiaparelli artistic director Daniel Roseberry, featured a fitted navy blue jacket, a voluminous red skirt, and a giant gold dove brooch symbolizing peace.
Later on, a smaller version of the brooch was sold for $2,000 to support Gaga’s Born this way Foundation.
