Spring is just around the corner, love is in the air, and every one is looking for that significant other. I know how hard it can be for anyone to put themselves out in the market. For both men and women a date is the perfect opportunity to go all out in their efforts to show their affection and appreciation for this new person. It’s also the perfect moment to tell the other that you want a relationship with them, and a lot of people muster the courage to confess their love. But then, one question arises: should I dress to impress? Am I going to be judged by “my cover”?
My first advice is for to make the day count. Dinner reservations have already been made, or probably you have made plans for a simple yet perfect dinner at home; either way the most important thing is that you feel comfortable with yourself and the other person. So don’t try to hard when picking your outfit, those clothes that you make you feel great will make you look great. Don’t get too frantic over it. It’s okay you want to look your finest and best, but there’s no need for uncomfortable shoes, skirts, or jeans. The Afternoon to Evening Outdoor Look
Maybe you decided to take the day off, and the two of you are going to spend the day together. If this were the case, you are going to spend half of the day outside, before having a romantic dinner. So you need an outfit that looks good during the afternoon and well into the evening. Keep in mind that the sun is still out so you will want to wear something fresh for the day and maybe a jacket for the evening. For the ladies, you can never go wrong with a strapless look. It highlights your height and silhouette and also gives off that smooth and seductive vibe. Pair it up with high heels and voila! You are looking sharp and ready for your evening date.
Also, you don’t want to ditch a cute dress or skirt. Some may say that looks either too desperate or trying too hard, but well accessorized and with the right color you can make it happen. For a simple and cute look, you might want a floral patterned or subtle colored wrap dress. It’s simple, it has the right fitting and is casually attractive, perfect for an afternoon or evening date!

The Date Night Look
Make this a night to remember so you create wonderful memories. Yet, try to pick something that suits you fine and at the same time gives to chance to feel comfortable.
I suggest a sexy little white dress and accessorize it with a purse or heels in bright colors. There are many styles of this dress, so pick one that accentuates your figure and make you feel great. If gets a little chilly, put a nice denim jacket on or a nice and color bright coat.
Something For the Guys
For this casual evening, men should go for that simple look as well. Consider wearing a long or short sleeve shirt in light colors (blue or white is the go-to for everyone. And yes, keep away from black). You can also try to get a crew neck shirts under a jacket. Patterned or simple shirts with subtle colors and a double breasted jacket screams sex appeal aloud. If it’s a little cold outside, try a jacket in a fabric that makes you warm without making you hot (don’t even consider leather, please) and try some jeans (but not those that have been backwashed). The only accessory you need is a nice matchable watch to make you look sharp.
Don’t forget the shoes! Remember women pay a lot of attention to a pair of classy shoes!
Guys might want to go with something more formal, but overall try to be yourself. Loose the suit and the tie and those black shinny shoes. You’re not going for a job interview. Try some blucher or Oxford shoes. There’ll be time for sneaker later on (but never ever for a first date!).
Dates are the perfect moment to show your best features and let your inner light shine. It doesn’t matter if this is your first date, or if you two are in a committed relationship, be sure you make each other feel appreciated and let them know that you care.
