The Crown has positioned itself as one of Netflix’s favorite (and most expensive) series. It attempts to give a closer look -more or less- at what has happened inside the walls of Buckingham Palace and around the Royal Family.
Season after season, the series has left us on the edge of our seats, and every time the end of one season came, we couldn’t wait for the next one to come! The sixth season of the royal series is getting closer and closer; in fact, we already know what the actors who will reincarnate Prince William and Kate Middleton look like, and they’re truly identical.
How Prince William and Kate Middleton Look Like in The Crown 6
Netflix woke up in a good mood today and gave us the first images of what Prince William and Kate Middleton will look like in the sixth season of The Crown. The Prince of Wales will be played by Ed McVey, while the Duchess will be brought to life by Meg Bellamy.
Both actors are just starting their acting careers; however, many fans are already predicting a great performance due to the great resemblance with their characters. And yes, we won’t deny it, the resemblance is brutal.
What Will Happen in the 6th Season of The Crown?
So far, we know that the season will cover a period between the tragic passing of Princess Diana and King Charles’s wedding to Camilla in 2005. That means that it will cover William’s youth and the time he started his university studies at the prestigious St. Andrew’s School, convinced he was going to lead the most normal life possible.
As we know, it was in this small town in Scotland where he met Kate Middleton, from Berkshire. After a close friendship, the young couple soon started a promising romance that would change the future of the British Crown.

Who Are the Actors Playing Prince William and Kate Middleton?
Ed McVey will reincarnate Prince Charles’ eldest son with Princess Di; this is his professional screen debut, after starring in The Old Vic, at Hammersmith Riverside Studios following his graduation from Drama Center London in 2021. Meg Bellamy will play Kate Middleton, the future Queen of the United Kingdom, who will also make her on-screen debut after being cast through a casting call she sent out on social media.
Ed and Meg filmed the new season of The Crown in St Andrews, Scotland, in early 2023; they took the opportunity to enjoy some royal places that William and Kate frequented in their youth, even, the actors posed in front of the Northpoint Cafe in St Andrews, which claims to be the place where the couple met… for coffee (as their sign states in small letters).
When Will The Crown 6 Premier
The sixth season of The Crown will hit Netflix later this year and will feature performances by Imelda Staunton as Queen Elizabeth, Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip, Lesley Manville as Princess Margaret, Dominic West as Prince Charles, Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana, Claudia Harrison as Princess Anne and Olivia Williams as Camilla Parker Bowles.
So far we have no details on how Prince Harry will look in the series and if the series will address his relationship with Megan Markle. However, last year, a casting call looking for Harry look-alikes was also published.
