Vin Diesel finally responded to accusations of abuse by his former assistant Asta Jonasson, who claims he assaulted her on the set of Fast and Furious 5. Through a statement issued by his lawyer Bryan Freedman, the actor denied the allegations against him and stressed that he has evidence.
“Let me be very clear: Vin Diesel categorically denies this claim in its entirety,” the legal representative told Variety magazine.
In the letter, the lawyer highlighted that in more than 13 years, “this is the first time that a supposedly 9-day employee has heard about this claim.”
“There is clear evidence that completely refutes these outlandish accusations,” added Bryan Freedman, who has become Vin’s spokesperson to prove his innocence.

The Lawsuit Against Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel is currently facing a lawsuit for abuse against his former assistant Asta Jonasson, during the filming of the fifth film in the saga where he is the protagonist. In the writing, to which Vanity Fair had access, this episode occurred in 2010, in a hotel where Vin Diesel was staying. First, she was attending to some of the actor’s guests, but when she was left alone, he grabbed her wrists with one hand and with the other began to touch her body without her consent.
The agreements under which the young woman was hired highlighted that the actor, for safety reasons, could not leave the room; However, when he was going to remove her underwear, she managed to break free, escape from her, and go out into the hallway. Vin Diesel chased her when he caught up with her, he subdued her and then began to masturbate.
“Terrified, Ms. Jonasson closed her eyes, trying to dissociate herself from the sexual assault and avoid angering him,” her statement reads.
The next day, the young woman was fired for not having agreed.
