Finally! We’re getting the Britney Spears’ biopic and it will be produced by Universal and directed by American filmmaker Jon Chu.

Britney Spears’ Biopic Is On The Way

Jon Chu, the American director behind the film adaptation of the musical Wicked (with the first part set releasing on November 27), will direct the movie.
Marc Platt will produce the film, raising expectations even higher as he worked on projects like La La Land.
The movie will be inspired by The Woman In Me, in which Spears recounts her life from her time on The Mickey Mouse Club to becoming one of the most significant pop figures in the world.
The book also covers her personal struggles and intimate issues, including the abortion she had during her relationship with singer Justin Timberlake.

Britney’s life has been full of complications and controversies, and this new project is the perfect opportunity to show the world what really happened from the protagonist’s perspective.
After the studio announced the project, the pop princess wrote on X that she was genuinely excited about what’s happening and about collaborating with Marc Platt, who worked on several of her favorite films.
Excited to share with my fans that I’ve been working on a secret project with #MarcPlatt. He’s always made my favorite movies … stay tuned 🌹🎥
